I’m sure glad they did.

I’m sure glad they did.
We saw this lovely sister and her twin brothers last year at this time when the boys had just turned one. It was great to visit with them again and see how much bigger everyone had become.

And it was good to have mom and dad in a few pictures, too. I actually love this one of the dad and daughter where you can still see the twins in the background.

We did sneak outside, too.
But it was pretty cold, so none of us lasted very long.

Although I think this little guy probably could’ve lasted a little longer than the rest of us did.

Cute, cute kids.
Two 2-year-olds plus a 5-year-old? I’ll admit, those kind of numbers make me a teeny bit nervous when I see them paper. But these kiddos did a really great job. I definitely lucked out, as I often seem to do.
When I graduated from college, I took a job with one of the (then) Big Five accounting firms (I’m a little bit left-brained and little bit right-brained, what can I say … it makes running a business a little easier, at least).
I won’t tell you which one, but here’s a hint: the firm doesn’t exist anymore because its Texas office had a tiny problem with a little company named Enron.
Yup.
The good news is: I met some really nice people when I worked there! And one of them with whom I’ve kept in contact all these years happens to live in a wonderful lake home and have two wonderfully cute kids.

I am guessing this is the kid who makes it hard for her parents to say “no” to her.
Agreed?…

Although, the other kid might give her a run for her money:

With the blonde-hair/blue-eye thing goin’ on? … definitely.

These kids were both so great the afternoon we hung out.
They were fun…

… and just generally content to be outside, enjoying the fall weather.

And I, of course, had a nice time chit-chatting with their mom.
I am pretty happy that I’ve had the experiences I’ve had and met the people I’ve met so far in my (relatively) short life. And in that respect, this great family makes me feel both happy and lucky. Because the world is better with people like these in it.
I hardly even know what to say about this cutie pie.

She was SO incredibly happy and go-with-the-flow during our session last month. She led her mom, grandparents, and me all around the grounds and kept herself (and us) pretty entertained.

What a beautiful, beautiful girl.

I love the total range of her expressions.
From serious…

…to flat-out happy.

And I need to quick thank her mom for the very easy-going, fun conversation and her grandparents for offering to tote around my lens bag in the empty stroller. It was a total luxury to shoot without having to pick up, put down, pick up my bag the whole time. A girl could get used to being spoiled like that.
