Okay … so … boy/girl twins.
Seriously, who gets this lucky?

Oh man, I had fun holding these two 9-day-olds for pictures last month.
I filled up my baby tank extra full during this session (a wonderful side benefit of photographing newborns!).
And I usually try to avoid “nuk” pictures, but these two were so dang cute with their little pacifiers. You know, this might actually be the first time I’ve purposely put nuk pictures into someone’s final gallery of images. They were just so cute, though, I had to…

I was completely worn out by the end of our session, which makes me extra appreciative of the wonderful parents of these two beautiful babies. I barely lived through the newborn phase with my own singleton babies, so kudos to those who pull double duty. That has to be insanely difficult.
But oh-so-rewarding.

This beautiful baby boy was only a week old when we took his newborn pictures. I love this image of him being held by his Dad (in front of that awesome blue wall, no less):

The picture below-left is one of my favorites from this year. I love his perfectly shaped head and his tranquil face and the neutral tones of the whole scene.

Cute, tiny baby hands and feet.

What a gorgeous little boy.

They can’t stay this small forever … and really, watching them grow is the best part. But the wonderful thing is that we can capture their tiny perfection now and always have it to look back on.
So you already saw one picture of this little guy, but there’s no way I can’t post some more of him (and yes, I believe I just used a double-negative in that sentence … but that is simply because cute babies mush up my brain).

I love how newborns have the cutest, tiniest diapers and then they’re STILL too big on their adorable, little bodies.
This beautiful 5-day-old is the baby of a friend of mine and he has the best name ever:

Sam.
Love the name.
Love the baby.
How can you not love this baby?

He makes you want to have more babies.

Admit it.
(love the green hospital nuk in the next picture)

Such a lucky boy, born to such a wonderful Mama and he doesn’t even know it yet.

He got pretty lucky in the big brother department, too, I might add.

Welcome to the world, little guy. You’ve got it good — in fact, it doesn’t get much better than this.

I won’t finish editing these until later this week, but I had to post at least ONE picture from today’s newborn session.

Plus, this might keep my friend, Julie, off my back for a few days.
(love you, Julie!)
